GDANSK and WARSAW, Poland - Hilton Worldwide announced today the signing of franchise agreements with Port Hotel Sp. z o.o. to open Hampton by Hilton hotels at airport locations in Poland’s capital city of Warsaw and the Baltic port city of Gdansk.  The two hotels are expected to open in early 2013 and will join the existing portfolio of nine hotels which are either currently operating or under development in Poland.  Hilton Worldwide has been present in the market since 2007 with the upscale Hilton Warsaw Hotel & Convention Centre, the design inspired Hilton Gdansk which opened last year and the Hilton Garden Inn Krakow that began welcoming guests earlier this year.

Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, Europe and Africa, said, “With the signing of this dual agreement with Port Hotel Sp. z o.o. to open hotels under our award winning economy brand at Warsaw and Gdansk airports we are further increasing our pipeline presence across the country.  Poland is a strategic development market for Hilton Worldwide and we have gained significant signing momentum for Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton brand deals.”

Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport will be located within close proximity (approximately 800 meters) from Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport’s main terminal building. Hampton by Hilton Gdansk Airport will be located directly opposite to Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport’s main terminal building, which is currently under construction.

Both new hotels will offer 116 guest rooms and will feature the Hampton by Hilton brand's signature offerings, with a stylish lobby, free internet access throughout, fitness centre and working zone.  A conference room (approximately 50 square metres) and onsite car parking for 60 to 80 cars will be available at both hotels.

Guests will also enjoy comfortable and flexible bedrooms all featuring the Clean and Fresh Hampton Bed.  The new hotels are designed and styled to appeal to business and leisure travelers, offering best-in-class service and comfort.  Additional guest amenities include the free On the House hot breakfast, a 24-hour snack area and a bar area with evening dining options to help guests connect after meetings

Phil Cordell, global head, focused service and Hampton brand, said, "As Hilton Worldwide's highly acclaimed economy brand, Hampton by Hilton is an ideal choice for value-conscious business and leisure travelers.  Answering the demand for a consistent, high-quality hotel experience, we will share with guests and new hotel owners a brand that stands behind its 100% satisfaction guarantee - if a guest is not happy with their stay at a Hampton by Hilton then they don’t have to pay."

Mirosław Moczarski, president of the board, Port Hotel Sp. z o.o., said, “We are delighted to have signed Hampton by Hilton hotels at two of Poland’s busiest airports.  These new hotels will provide much needed quality economy accommodation in the local market and we look forward to opening both hotels in 2013 as an important part of our development strategy.”
With more than 90 hotels in its development pipeline across Europe, Poland forms a strategic development market in Hilton Worldwide’s global growth plan.  Further hotels in the development pipeline include: Hilton Wroclaw, DoubleTree by Hilton Lodz, Hilton Garden Inn Wroclaw, Hilton Garden Inn Krakow Airport, Hilton Garden Inn Rzeszow and Hampton by Hilton Swinoujscie.
